LONDON -- Salamander Energy Plc. says testing has succeeded on the Phu Horm-10 well on the Phu Horm gas field offshore Thailand. The well will be completed as a producing well.
PH-10 well was deviated from the PH-4 surface location and encountered the top of the Pha Nok Khao carbonate reservoir at a depth of 2,068 m (6,785 ft) about 1.2 km (0.75 mi) east of the surface location. Good gas shows were seen over a 140-m (459-ft) interval in both the Pha Nok Khao and the overlying Hua Hin Lat formations, Salamander says.
The well tested at an average flow rate of 10 MMcf/d of gas. Production gauges have been placed down hole, Salamander says, and the well will be hooked up to the Phu Horm production facilities to provide additional capacity in support of the existing production wells.
