Eni in hunt north of Troll

Eni Norge has started drilling an exploratory well north of the Troll field in the North Sea, following clearance from Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority.

OSLO, Norway --Eni Norge has started drilling an exploratory well north of the Troll field in the North Sea, following clearance from Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority.

The semisubmersible rigTransocean Leader is drilling well 34/12-1 in production license 293, in 373 m (1,224 ft) of water. The operation should take around 80 days.
