CALGARY, Canada --Ithaca Energy will resume exploration drilling in the UK North Sea next month on its Manuel prospect. It also plans wells on the Carna prospect in blocks 43/21b and 43/22c, and on the Morpheus structure, following processing of 3D seismic acquired in 2006.

The company has submitted the first draft of its development plan for the Athena oilfield in the central North Sea to the UK government. Work on this project will continue over the remainder of 2007, as will pre-development planning for the Jacky oilfield (ex-Basil).
Ithaca is targeting first oil from Jacky in 2008 and from Ithaca in late 2009.

It is also a partner in Dana Petroleum's Barbara gas field. The subsurface phase of a joint development study involving Barbara and another gas discovery, Phyllis, was recently completed. Ithaca expects first production from Barbara in 2009.
