Lundin re-visits Statoil discovery

OSLO, Norway --Lundin Norge has clearance from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an appraisal well in North Sea production license PL 148.

The license area comprises parts of blocks 7/4 and 7/7. Well 7/4/2 will be drilled by theMaersk Giant to delimit an oil discovery (7/7-2) made by Statoil in 1992.

Lundin's co-licensees are Talisman Energy Norge and Norwegian Energy Norge.
