AGR secures rig for UK wells

OSLO, Norway --Norwegian oilfield services group AGR has contracted the jack-up Ensco 100 for a multi-client, multi-well campaign in the UK North Sea, starting this July. AGR also has the option to extend the rig hire for a further year at the end of the initial contract period.

The company will provide full well project management, including rig and support services, for the duration of this $158 million-plus contract. The arrangement means AGR will this year have three rigs operating in the UK sector, two offshore Norway and Denmark, and two off Australia.
