GGR tests KG #15 well off India

GeoGlobal Resources Inc. reports that the Gujarat State Petroleum Corp., operator of the KG #15 well in block KG-OSN-2001/3 offshore eastern India, completed initial testing of object three.

CALGARY, Alberta -- GeoGlobal Resources Inc. reports that the Gujarat State Petroleum Corp., operator of the KG #15 well in block KG-OSN-2001/3 offshore eastern India, completed initial testing of object three.

The test involved 33 m (105 ft) of perforations across the interval depth from 4,651 to 4,705 m (15,259-15,436 ft) measured depth at a stabilized flowrate greater than 14 MMcf/d of gas and 300 bbl of condensate, at a flowing wellhead pressure of 4,200 psi through a 28/64-in. choke size.

Drilling on KG #15 began July 17, 2006, from the KG #8 platform. The well was drilled directionally to 5,745 m (18,848 ft) measured depth to a location 750 m (2,461 ft) SSE of the KG #8 platform. GSPC is now testing object four in the same well.

GeoGlobal Resources Inc. is engaged through its subsidiaries in exploration and development in India. The company's present focus is on developing high potential exploration targets in the Krishna-Godavari, Cambay, and the Deccan Syneclise basins.
