Lytham well finds no gas

ABERDEEN, UK --Lundin Petroleum has plugged and abandoned a well in the UK southern North Sea as a dry hole.

The jackupGSF Galaxy II was evaluating three reservoir targets in the Lytham prospect. The well was drilled to a total depth of 2,063 m (6,768 ft).

The rig will next head to UK block 21/8-C to drill back-to-back wells on the Scolty and Banchory prospects.
