OKLAHOMA CITY -- Devon Energy is drilling its first operated well to target a Lower Tertiary objective, according to the company.
Diamond Offshore'sOcean Endeavor, under long-term contract with Devon, is drilling the Lower Tertiary Chuck prospect to 31,500 ft (9,601 m) targeted TD in 6,500 ft (1,981 m) of water. The well is expected to reach TD in the fourth quarter.
Devon operates Chuck with a 39.5% working interest.
