Dubai, UAE -- Dragon Oil's development well A/121in the Caspian Sea has flowed more than 2,900 b/d of oil from the Djeitun (LAM) structure, which was drilled to a depth of 4,010 m (13,156 ft).
"I am pleased to announce the successful completion and initial testing of the
A/121 development well drilled from the Djeitun (LAM) A platform.
With the completion of this well, we have completed five wells this year, four
development wells and one appraisal well," says Hussain M. Sultan, Dragon chairman and CEO.
Testing is ongoing along with drilling on the Lam A. Testing of the individual short and long strings resulted in production rates of 2,216 b/d and 714 b/d of oil on 24/64-in chokes with no produced water.
