OSLO, Norway --The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has approved BG Norge's plan to drill a well in the southern North Sea, close to the median line with UK waters.
TheMaersk Guardian will drill exploration well 7/7-4 in production license 335, comprising parts of blocks 7/4, 7/7, and 7/10. This will be the first well drilled in the license, which was awarded under Norway's APA 2004 round, and it will also be BG's first as a Norwegian sector operator.
Co-licensees are Lundin, Talisman Energy, and RWE Dea.
