RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras says it has found light oil (29° API) I two new Campos basin reservoirs in well 6-CRT-43-RJS, also called Carimbé, 106 km (66 mi) offshore in 1,027 m (3,369 ft) water depth.

Petrobras says the Albian post-salt carbonatic reservoir contains an estimated 105 MMbbl recoverable oil and the Aptian pre-salt reservoir is thought to be an extension of Barracuda field. If so, the total estimated recoverable volume is 360 MMboe.

Production testing is anticipated and the feasibility of connecting to the P-48 platform is under study.
