Det norske lines up further North Sea well

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has approved Det norske oljeselskap’s plan to drill a wildcat south of the Sleipner Øst field in the Norwegian North Sea.

OSLO-- The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has approved Det norske oljeselskap’s plan to drill a wildcat south of the Sleipner Øst field in the Norwegian North Sea.

TheBredford Dolphin will drill well 15/9-24 facility in production license PL 408, after it has completed another wildcat for the same operator in PL 337.

PL 408 was awarded in 2007 underNorway’s APA 2006 licensing round. It comprises the southeastern part of block 15/8 and the southern part of 15/9.
