North Padre well re-entered for side track

A planned side track to the A-11 well on North Padre block 975 in the Gulf of Mexico offshore Texas is under way, says Entek Energy Ltd.

WEST PERTH, Australia -- A planned side track to the A-11 well on North Padre block 975 in the Gulf of Mexico offshore Texas is under way, says Entek Energy Ltd.  The side track (A-11 ST01) targets natural gas updip from exploration drilling. The reserves estimate from Entek is 4 bcf.

Peregrine Oil & Gas II LLC is the operator, and Entek is earning a 25% working interest with the farm-in.

TheSeahawk 2600 jackup is drilling the well from an existing production platform. Work is expected to take two weeks.
