Norske Shell renews campaign in Norwegian Sea

OSLO -- Norske Shell has clearance from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an appraisal well in the Norwegian Sea.

The harsh environment semi Aker Barents will drill wellbore 6604/10-1 in production license 326. Norske Shell is the operator with a 50% interest, in partnership with Statoil Petroleum and GDF Suez E&P Norge.

This will be the second well on the license, which comprises blocks 6603/12-1, 6604/7, 6604/8, and 6604/10.
