RIO DE JANEIRO -- Another Aptian section find offshore Brazil is reported by OGX Petroleo e Gas Participacoes SA. OGX says the 1-OGS-7A-RJS in block BM-C-42 of Brazil's offshore Campos basin hit an oil-bearing interval with 35 m (115 ft) of net pay in Aptian carbonate reservoirs. Drilling is continuing, with a target TD of 4,200 m (13,860 ft).
The well is 86 km (53 mi) off Rio de Janeiro state in 150 m (495 ft) water depth. Diamond Offshore'sOcean Lexington began drilling the well on Feb. 16.
