STRAUME, Norway -- AGR Petroleum Services is preparing a multi-well drilling campaign in the Norwegian North Sea on behalf of seven international operators.

The company expects to drill over 15 exploration wells in the Norwegian sector over a three-year period, starting in 2011.

AGR will drill wells for Wintershall, Discover Petroleum, Nexen, Rocksource, Bridge Energy, E.ON Ruhrgas, and OMV. The company adds that all activities connected with offshore support, cost and risk assessments, well planning, and execution of operations will be performed in cooperation with the operators. AGR will also provide staff and consultants to compliment the operators’ organizations.

This contract follows three years of providing well management services on the semisubmersible rig Bredford Dolphin in the Norwegian North Sea. During this period AGR has drilled over 15 wells for six operators.

Planning for the new drilling campaign starts immediately, using the 4th generation semisub Borgland Dolphin, with the first exploration wells set to be drilled towards spring of 2011.
