Dragon completes Dzheitune well test, workover

Dragon Oil has completed drilling and initial testing the Dzheitune (Lam) B/141 development and appraisal well in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.

ASHKABAD, Turkmenistan -- Dragon Oil has completed drilling and initial testing the Dzheitune (Lam) B/141 development and appraisal well in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.

The well tested oil at a combined rate of 1,895 b/d of oil, with the short string and long string contributing 761 b/d and 1,134 b/d, respectively. Further testing and optimization is scheduled. The well was drilled to a depth of 4,502 m (14,770 ft).

The jackupAstra has since moved to the second slot on the Dzheitune (Lam) B platform to spud the Dzheitune (Lam) B/145 development well.

As part of the workover program, theIran Khazar rig has completed a work-over of well Dzheitune (Lam) A/125. The operation included additional perforations that yielded incremental production of 562 b/d. 

TheIran Khazar soon will commence a sidetrack to Dzheitune (Lam) A/129.
