Reliance reports another CB 10 discovery

MUMBAI – Reliance Industries Ltd. reports its seventh discovery in block CB-ONN-2003/1 offshore India in the Cambay basin.

Well CB10A-N1, named Dhirubhai-50, was drilled to TD of 1,579 m (5,180 ft) and found a hydrocarbon-bearing zone in the Miocene basal sand of the Babaguru formation at 1,388-1,403 m (4,554-4,603 ft). Production testing flowed 410 b/d of oil through a ¼-in choke at a flowing tubing head pressure of 360 psia.

Block CB-ONN-2003/1 is nearly 130 km (81 mi) from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in the Cambay basin. The block covers 635 sq km (245 sq mi) in two parts. RIL, as operator, holds 100% participating interest in the block.
