Diamond Offshore sells Ocean Shield

Diamond Offshore Drilling has sold the Ocean Shield, a 350-ft. high-specification jackup rig, to Ensco for $186 million.

HOUSTON -- Diamond Offshore Drilling has sold the Ocean Shield, a 350-ft. high-specification jackup rig, to Ensco for $186 million.

Ensco will assume the rig currently working under a term contract for Apache Corp. in Australia.
