Xcite finds rig for Bentley

ABERDEEN, UK -- Xcite Energy has entered into an agreement for the semisub Ocean Nomad to drill the 9/3b-R well on the heavy oil Bentley field in the UK North Sea.

Drilling should start towards end-August. Xcite expects to finalize contracts shortly.

The company adds that this rig provides operating advantages over a jackup in metocean terms for the planned 9/3b-R well program. This continues to be managed by Applied Drilling Technology International.
