Aker Solutions wins $100-million drilling equipment contract

HOUSTON -- Aker Solutions has won a contract to supply a complete drilling equipment package for a new deepwater drillship. The contract value is approximately US $100 million.
The contract includes options for a further two complete drilling packages, which can be activated at the client's request. The client name is undisclosed."We are very pleased to have won another complete drilling package," says Thor Arne Håverstad, head of Aker Solutions' drilling business.
