Offshore staff

PERTH, Australia -- Woodside Petroleum has discovered gas in the Remy prospect in Western Australia’s offshore Carnarvon basin.

The Remy-1 well in permit WA-404-P intersected around gas over two zones (33 and 39 m, or 108 and 128 ft) within the Triassic target. The well was also drilled to successfully appraise the Martell gas discovery.

Remy-1 was drilled 500 m (3/10 mi) south of the Martell-1 well.
