HOUSTON – Marathon International Petroleum Indonesia reports its Bravo-1 wildcat found water-wet gas shows in the Pasangkayu PSC off Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Drilled in 3,200-ft (975-m) water depth to TD of 9,000 ft.(2,743 m), the well found gas shows in the objective formation, and while the thickness and quality of the reservoir “are encouraging”, log and pressure data indicate the reservoir is water-wet.
Marathon says it expects to drill the Romeo prospect in the north-central part of the block in 6,200 ft (1,890 m) water depth sometime before mid-2011.
