Atwood Beacon extends West Africa stay
Offshore staff
HOUSTON – Edison International has contracted the Atwood Beacon from Atwood Oceanics Pacific to drill a well offshore Cote d’Ivoire at a day rate of around $115,000. The program, including mobilization, should take around 70 days to complete.
The rig currently is finishing a drilling program with Hess Equatorial Guinea and is expected to start working for Edison in early July. Edison will supply a vessel and pay a day rate of around $110,000 for the estimated eight-day journey from Equatorial Guinea to Cote d’Ivoire.
