RIO DE JANEIRO – Another presalt light oil find in Campos basin is in the news. Petrobras reports the well, in 648 m (2,126 ft) water depth in the Marlim Production Concession found estimated potential recoverable reserves of 380 MMboe. Testing continues.
The well, 6-MRL-199D-RJS reached TD of 5,000 m (16,404 ft) and in the process found carbonatic reservoirs of the Aptian at 4,460 m (14,633 ft). The well is 4.5 km (2.8 mi) from the P-27 platform which could hasten development.
