Salamander awaits rig for Angklung well

LONDON -- The semisubmersible drilling rig Hakuryu 5 is under tow from Singapore to East Kalimantan, where it is due to work for Salamander Energy in the Bontang PSC.

It should take 12 days for the rig to arrive on location. It will be used to drill the Angklung-1 exploration prospect, which, according to Salamander, has mean prospective resources of 125 MMboe.

The well should take around 39 days to drill on a dry-hole basis.
