ABERDEEN, UK – SPD has completed a four-well program in the North Sea using Diamond Offshore’s semisubmersible rig the Ocean Nomad.
The program consisted of an exploration well, sidetrack, and well test in block 211/8c for Valiant Petroleum; two exploration wells (Volante and Blakeney) for Wintershall E&P in blocks 20/02b and 21/27b respectively; and an appraisal well for Nautical Petroleum in block 9/02b to drill and test the Kraken discovery and a geological sidetrack.
