LONDON -- Borders & Southern Petroleum has a Letter of Intent with Ocean Rig UDW to use the semisubmersible Eirik Raude.
Under the terms of the contract, the company is committed to drilling two firm wells on the Darwin and Stebbing prospects in the offshore south Falkland basin, with up to three optional wells.
Eirik Raude, currently working on the Jubilee development offshore Ghana, is a dynamically positioned, harsh environment semi. On completion of its drilling program it should be mobilized to the Falkland Islands in 4Q 2011.
