ConocoPhillips Scandinavia has contracted Seawell for platform drilling and maintenance services in the Greater Ekofisk Area of the North Sea.

HAMILTON, Bermuda -- ConocoPhillips Scandinavia has contracted Seawell for platform drilling and maintenance services in the Greater Ekofisk Area of the North Sea. The five-year contract has options for extensions for up to five years.
Seawell will be responsible for platform drilling services on the Ekofisk 2/4 K & 2/4X and Eldfisk 2/7A & 2/7B installations during the first half of this year.
"Combined with the recently awarded well intervention contract, Seawell will be able to provide significant synergies in the form of cost savings and efficiencies for ConocoPhillips,” says Seawell CEO Thorleif Egeli.
