LONDON -- The jackup Ensco 100 has started drilling the Oates exploration well in UK central North Sea block 22/19c.
According to operator Serica Energy, the well will be drilled to a subsurface depth of around 10,000 ft (3,048 m), and should take about 30 days to drill. Serica has a 50% interest in the well.
