LONDON -- The A-6 well in Ship Shoal block 201 in the Gulf of Mexico is complete and has tested at a restricted rate of 10.4 MMcf/d and 423 b/d of oil (a combined rate of 2,153 boe/d), says Leed Petroleum.
The well, drilled from Ship Shoal 202 “A” platform, reached TD of 13,341 ft (4,066 m) on Feb. 17. It encountered 65 ft of true vertical thickness pay in its primary objective. The company reports net 2P reserves of 1.3 MMboe to the reservoir (84 % natural gas).
The well proved net proved reserves are 5,615 MMcf of natural gas and 171 MMbbl of condensate together with net incremental probable reserves of 951 MMcf of natural gas and 29 MMbbl of condensate.
On March 4, the well was flow tested for six hours at a stabilized gross rate of 10.4 MMcf and 423 b/d of oil with minimal completion fluid production on a 29/64-in choke at a flowing tubing pressure of 2,519 psi (17.4 MPa).
First production is anticipated in the second quarter.
