(Bergen, Norway) -- A.P. Moller-Maersk has bought two Petrojack ASA jackup rigs currently being built at Jurong in Singapore.
PetroJack I and PetroJack III were sold for a combined $420 million. Each is a Baker Pacific Class 375 design capable of operating in up to 375 ft of water in the Asian Pacific, Middle East, Mediterranean, Latin America, West Africa, and the central and southern North Sea.
The rigs feature mechanized drilling equipment which makes them capable of drilling deep, difficult wells with high temperature/high pressure parameters.
