Tap updates Bambra East-1,2 campaign

WEST PERTH, Western Australia -- Tap Oil Ltd. reports that the Bambra East drilling campaign began Dec. 20, 2006.
The Bambra East Gas field in production license TL/1 will be appraised by two deviated wells. Bambra East-1 and Bambra East-2 will be drilled from a common surface location. The objective for one of the wells lies 1 km (0.6 mi) north of the prospect. The other well's objective is 1 km (0.6 mi) south.
The Bambra East-1 and Bambra East-2 wells will appraise the Bambra East Gas field, which is east of the producing Bambra field. The Bambra East appraisal project will determine the resource potential of the field and enable subsequent development planning to be undertaken, the company says.
