Essar acquires Transocean semi

MUMBAI, India --Essar Oilfields Services Ltd. has acquired the Transocean Wildcat semisubmersible drilling rig for $220 million.
The rig will be remanedEssar Wildcat. It is an anchor-moored, self-propelled rig with a drilling depth capacity of 7,620 m (25,000 ft) and a water depth of 411 m (1,350 ft). It is upgradable.
