Chevron has extended its contract with Seadrill for the self-erecting tender rig T4 for another five years. The new contract begins 2Q08 and is valued at $156 million. The rig currently is operating in Thailand.

HAMILTON, Bermuda -- Chevron has extended its contract with Seadrill for the self-erecting tender rig T4 for another five years. The new contract begins 2Q08 and is valued at $156 million. The rig currently is operating in Thailand.
Tender rigT11 under construction in Malaysia was contracted by Chevron for operations in Thailand upon completion of construction in July 2008. That contract is valued at $203 million.
