Offshore staff

LONDON -- Afren Energy Resources Ltd. has contracted the GlobalSantaFe jackup Adriatic VI to drill in Okoro and Setu fields offshore Nigeria.

The nine-month contract begins in August 2007 and covers production and injection well drilling in OML 112 in shallow water.

The fields have estimated recoverable reserves of 35-60 MMbbl and ultimate production of 15,000 b/d of oil is the target. First oil is expected in 1Q08.

TheSeadrill 7 jackup is to start appraisal drilling immediately to test upper and lower Okoro reservoirs and to redrilll Setu-1.
