CALGARY, Canada -- Exploration well Ruby-1 in block 3(a) offshore northeastern Trinidad tested at a rate of 5,000 b/d of oil on a 7/8-in. choke.
The well was drilled to TD of 5,750 ft, with some 1,200 ft of hydrocarbon-bearing sands including 800 ft of net pay.
BHP Billiton (operator), Talisman Energy, and Anadarko Petroleum Corp. each hold a 25.5% interest, Petrotrin has a 15% interest, and Total holds an 8.5% interest.
