OSLO, Norway -- A contract for the drillship Deep Venture was signed by ExxonMobil with Larsen Oil and Gas Ltd. (Aberdeen) on behalf of Venture Drilling AS.
Starting 1Q07 and for 18 months, the drillship is destined for several West Africa prospects and water depths of up to 4,000 ft.
TheDeep Venture, previoiusly named Valentin Shashin, will mobilize from Argentina to Cape Town for drydocking to carry out a 5 year survey.
