Offshore staff

OSLO, Norway -- Norway's Petroleum Directorate has given Talisman Energy Norge permission to drill an appraisal well south of the Varg field in the North Sea. Following maintenance work in Denmark, the Maersk Giant will drill the well in the southern part of block 15/12.

Talisman operates the surrounding Production License 038, in partnership with Petoro and Pertra. Sixteen wells have been drilled on block 15/12 to date.
