LONDON, UK -- Endeavour International has discovered gas with a well on the Columbus structure in the UK North Sea. The well, in block 23/16f, intersected a 125 ft gas column in the Palaeocene Forties formation.

Testing operations are under way, with results expected to be issued by mid-December. Endeavour anticipates further appraisal/delineation drilling, to evaluate the find's commercial potential and possible development solutions. The company is operating the drilling and testing program, but Serica Energy operates the license.
