3D seismic survey over Bukha field offshore Oman may determine future expansion prospects

(Oman) Indago Petroleum has commissioned a survey vessel to acquire 3D seismic over the Bukha field, offshore Oman. The aim is to identify further reserves that could be developed via spare drilling slots on the existing Bukha platform. Indago expects to issue results of the processed data at the end of this year, followed by technical evaluation during the first half of 2007.
The current West Bukha-2 development well is undergoing coring in the target reservoir, with logging results expected late this month, followed by a decision on whether to pursue a flow test.
