Oslo -- Hydro has completed a re-entry of the Peon gas discovery well in the Norwegian North Sea. The field, located in production license 318, was discovered in August 2005, 100-km west of Sogn og Fjordane county.

The semisubDeepsea Trym conducted the latest evaluation program, but Hydro decided to shelve a planned production test. It is now seeking further data ahead of a potential development, which will include a new seismic survey over the field this fall. Partners are Petoro and Idemitsu.
