SAN RAMON, California -- Chevron Corp. plans to open energy technology centers in Aberdeen, Scotland, and Perth, Australia, to provide research and development, and technical services worldwide.

Chevron Energy Technology Co. expects to open the facilities in early 2007 with 100 employees at each. The centers will support upstream, downstream, global gas, and emerging energy business. They will complement the centers already established in Texas and California.
