Offshore staff
OSLO, Norway -- Songa Offshore was awarded a contract extension by Chevron Australia Pty. Ltd. for the semisubmersible Songa Mercur.
Chevron has two more contract extensions at six months apiece remaining with the rig. The extension was valued at $27 million.
The rig is on its way to Singapore and is expected to be redeployed in November.
