CALGARY, Canada -- A gas discovery in the Egyptian Nile Delta was announced by Centurion Energy International Inc.
Luzi-1 was drilled on the east side of West Manzala concession to test a prospect on trend wtih El Wastani field. The well reached TD of 2,847 m TVDSS, and found gas in both the Upper and Lower Abu Madi, with net pay of 10 m and 35 m, respectively.
Centurion is considering various development options which could allow tieback of 2006 West Manzala gas discoveries for production during 2007. The well is by Centurion, 50%, and Shell, 50%.
