(Asia-Pacific) - Cnooc Ltd. says it will drill appraisal wells to further test the commercial viability of the structure after the wildcat Bozhong BZ29-4-2 was flow tested at 760 b/d of oil by 7.94-mm choke during the drillstem test in the Bohai Bay.
The independent wildcat on structure BZ29-4 in Yellow River Mouth Sag in central northern Bohai Bay, was drilled to a total depth of 3,070 m in water depth of 21.4 m.
Spudded in January, the well encountered gas pay zones of 34.5 m and oil zones of 13 m.
