OSLO, Norway – Equinor has approval from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to drill an exploration well in the Norne area of the Norwegian Sea.
The semisubmersibleTransocean Spitsbergen is due to spud well 6507/3-13 in license 159B next month, around 13 km (8 mi) west of the producing Norne field, in 368 m (1,207 ft) water depth.
