StatoilHydro has received consent to use the Polar Pioneer for intervention on wells 34/8-B-1 and 34/8-B-2 on Visund Nord.

OSLO -- StatoilHydro has received consent to use the Polar Pioneer for intervention on wells 34/8-B-1 and 34/8-B-2 on Visund Nord.
The well intervention aims to restore the barriers in the wells. This entails permanent plugging in the reservoir sections, with the possibility of subsequent sidetrack drilling, the company says.
The well operations have expected durations of 26 and 15 days, respectively.
