PSA grants North Sea drilling consents

Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority has awarded Total E&P Norge consent to drill appraisal well 30/4-D-1 AH on the Hilde field in the North Sea using the semisub West Phoenix.

STAVANGER-- Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority has awarded Total E&P Norge consent to drill appraisal well 30/4-D-1 AH on the Hilde field in the North Sea using the semisub West Phoenix. The activity on Hild is expected to last 196 days, including completion and flow of the well for ten days.

The PSA has also granted consent to StatoilHydro for plugging, sidetrack drilling, and completion of well 31/5-I-21 on the Troll field using the semisub Polar Pioneer. The operation has an estimated duration of 135 days.

Meanwhile, Norwegian Energy Company ASA (Noreco) has been granted consent to drill exploration well 25/9-3 in production license 412.
