Bredford Dolphin to drill North Sea exploration well

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has granted ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Norway consent to drill exploration well 25/8-17 using the semisub Bredford Dolphin.

OSLO -- The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has granted ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Norway consent to drill exploration well 25/8-17 using the semisub Bredford Dolphin. Exploration well 25/8-17 is part of production license 027D in the North Sea.

Det norske oljeselskap ASA (Det norske) is drilling the well on behalf of operator ExxonMobil. Drilling is scheduled to begin next month. The company predicts it will take 33 days if the well is dry, and 64 days if a discovery is made.
